Update: This Scholarship says BIPOC but is actually only for Black and Indigenous students. When this scholarship was created, I incorrectly thought that POC was the same thing as Black. I recently learned that's not the case.
We plan on having more scholarships for other ethnicites as well. We also have scholarships that are not limited to any ethnicity here: https://atila.ca/scholarship. Sorry for any confusion
In 2020 it's safe to say we've learnt a lot about different types of injustices affecting our society. This scholarship is intended to show support for members of our Black and Indigenous community.
At least two winners will be chosen for this scholarship, one Black student and one Indigenous student. The total scholarship awarded will be divided evenly amongst both students.
Write about what being Black or Indigenous means to you and how you contribute to your local community. You can either write about what you do for the Black and Indigenous community specifically or any other contributions you make to make your local community a better place, it doesn't have to be specific to the Black or Indigenous community.
We also want to know your plans and goals for the future
