Thank you for showing interest in applying for the 2019/2020 5th Annual Black Foundation of Community Networks (BFCN) Aim 2 Achieve Award. The BFCN scholarship program was created to recognize outstanding Black students with bright futures as upcoming leaders and dreamers in their communities. The Aim 2 Achieve Award will recognize a Black youth who has overcome adversity in their life in order to achieve. The recipient of the $1000 award will be a student graduating from secondary school or CEGEP who will be attending an accredited Canadian University or College in September 2019. Perseverance and dedication are two qualities that the Aim 2 Achieve winner must embody and believe in. Achievement exists in many different forms and we want to hear about yours!
Selection Criteria
• Must be a Black student
• Must be graduating high school or CEGEP in June 2019 and attending an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution in September 2019 on a full-time basis
• Demonstrates perseverance and dedication that has led to overcoming adversity
How to Apply
• Complete the online application
• Include two letters of recommendation: one from a community organization/member; one from a chosen family member
• Submit online application and e-mail copies of supporting documents (letters of recommendation, proof of acceptance and/or enrollment, and a passport-sized photo) to info@bfcn.ca by July 31st 2019
